Dynamics of indicators of the adaptation process of firstyear students and future specialists in the field of physical education and sports

Objective of the study was to identify the dynamics of indicators of the adaptation process of first-year students and future specialists in the field of physical education and sports.
Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work was carried out in 2022-2024, in which 1st year students of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism took part (72 respondents in 2022, 79 in 2023) from the following areas of training: Pedagogical education. Education in the subject area Physical education; Pedagogical education (with two profiles of training). Education in subject areas (Life Safety and Physical Education); Physical education for persons with health problems. Physical culture, adaptive physical culture and adaptive sports.
Results and conclusions. As a result of the survey (November-December 2022), the main difficulties and problems of the adaptation process of first-year students were identified. To achieve the goal of the study, an adaptation program was developed, introduced into the curricula of first-year students in the specified areas of training and implemented in September-November 2023. The results of the implementation of the adaptation program were determined by repeated questioning (November-December 2023 ). In the course of the study, the main criteria for the effectiveness of the adaptation program for 1st year students of the professional orientation of study “Physical Education” were identified. The results of the study can be used to formulate curricula and content of discipline programs for 1st year students in sports fields.
