Biomechanical characteristics of the manifestation of strength deficit in the front squat

Objective of the study was to identify the biomechanical characteristics of the manifestation of strength deficiency in the front squat.
Methods and structure of the study. Registration of biomechanical characteristics was carried out using a three-dimensional video analysis system of movements. 15 high-class athletes (Candidate Master of Sports and Master of Sports) took part in the study. During the experiment, they were asked to perform two repetitions of front squats with various weights, not including maximum and near-maximum weights.
Results and conclusions. The method of constructing phase trajectories used in the study to determine the moment of strength deficit in the kinematic chains of the athletes motor apparatus allowed us to classify the dynamics of the manifestation of strength potential in the phase of rising from a squat, to establish the moment of control of the strength deficit, the period of manifestation of the strength deficit and the moment of overcoming the strength deficit of the muscle groups implementing the movements in the hip, knee and ankle joints, determine the criteria for the manifestation of strength deficits and the basis for methods for overcoming strength deficits.
