Introduction. The activities of instructors of units working with personnel of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, who carry out physical training of police officers, are aimed at achieving various goals, among which the following are relevant: the development of physical qualities of employees and training them in fighting techniques [1]. Currently, the relevant areas of physical training of police officers are: preparation for actions in special conditions; remote physical training in a pandemic; recreation and adaptive physical training of employees who carry out their professional activities in special conditions. In this connection, there was a need to correct the goals and objectives, educational content of professional development programs for instructors engaged in physical training of police officers.
The purpose of the study is to identify the actual goals and objectives, the educational content of professional development of instructors engaged in physical training of police officers, and the development of a program to improve their skills.
Methodology and organization of the study. The scientific work was organized and conducted on the basis of the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Training of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2023. The following scientific methods were used in the course of the study: analysis of the practice of using physical force by police officers, studies and scientific literature; modeling of the educational process of professional development; systematization of educational content.
The results of the study and their discussion. An additional professional program has been developed "Advanced training of instructors of units for working with personnel of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia". A special feature of this program is the presence of new and relevant individual educational topics: "Physical culture and wellness technologies in the physical training of employees of internal affairs bodies"; "Complex combat fighting techniques and tactics of their application"; "Training of employees of internal affairs bodies in the use of physical force and special means in situations of operational and official activity"; "Organization of mass sports and physical culture and recreation work in territorial bodies of internal affairs and educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia". Currently, changes to the educational content are being made to the developed program. A topic is being developed aimed at training police officers to act in special conditions.
Conclusion. As a result of the study, a new professional development program for instructors engaged in physical training of police officers was developed. The updated program allows you to develop the skills and abilities of training police officers to act in special conditions of official activity.
