Key words: sports performance, assessment of the activity of the central nervous system and autonomic nervous system in athletes involved in shooting sports.

Introduction. The training of shooters of various qualifications should be accompanied by an improvement in the general physical training of athletes. The presented materials showed unreliable values of physical fitness of both groups.
The purpose of the study is to study the indicators of the central and autonomic nervous system in shooters of different qualifications.
Methodology and organization of the study. As a result of the study, the following methods were used: assessment of general physical development; heart rate variability (AXION EK1T-1/3-07); assessment of the autonomic nervous system using skin conductivity analysis (APK “OX FORD MEDICAL NEON-V-01”); statistical methods. The research was carried out on the basis of shooting ranges of the State Central Educational Institution LIFK, CSKA and DOSAAF Izmailovo with the participation of beginners (n = 8) and highly qualified rifle shooters (n = 7).
Research results and discussion. As a result of the studies, minor differences were found in the indicators of general physical fitness. However, in terms of heart rate variability, lower values of the Tension Index were found in highly trained shooters compared to beginners (p = 0.004).
In addition, the level of skin electrical conductivity was also reduced in trained shooters before (p = 0.047) and after shooting (p = 0.019) compared to novice subjects. During the recovery period after special work, highly qualified athletes had a higher rate of recovery of the sympathetic nervous system than novice athletes.
Our studies present single data from an athlete illustrating her position when shooting from a small-bore rifle in a prone position: the T-P interval increased in athletes during shooting. Some works [1] contain various methods of control in sports practice, which should be recommended to practical trainers.
It should be noted that to improve special performance, you should pay attention to the interval between cardiac cycles of the TP interval (diastole interval), which allows you to improve sports results.
Conclusions. The presented work may be useful to practicing coaches for the purpose of correcting the training process and general physical fitness to improve sports results in the sports performance of highly qualified shooters.
