Features of teaching the discipline «Sports and health tourism» in the field of higher physical education in China

Objective of the study was to identify the features of teaching the discipline "Sports and health tourism" in the field of higher physical education in China.
Methods and structure of the study. The analysis of the Chinese tourism market, as well as the curricula of the direction of training "Sports tourism" of colleges in China, was carried out.
Results and conclusions. As a result of research and analysis, it has been found that there are currently 11 universities in China offering the specialty of sports tourism. The academic system is designed for 4 years, a bachelor's degree, 21 basic courses and 19 related courses covering the basic theories and methods of physical education, pedagogy, tourism, management, economics and other disciplines.
The content of the training courses offered by the Chinese Sports Tourism Specialization is mainly related to the study of various sports and outdoor activities that can be included in tourism programs. Within the framework of sports tourism, the basics of physical fitness and safety, training methods and route planning for active trips and services are also studied.
Educational programs in China can differ from each other and vary depending on the institution, the length of study and the level of qualification that students want to acquire in the field of sports tourism.
In general, the Sports Tourism specialization is market-oriented, based on integrated tourism services and characterized by leisure and sports projects.
