Introduction. Project activity of students is a motivated independent activity aimed at solving a specific practically or theoretically significant problem, presented in the form of a final product. In the process of project implementation, it is important for students to establish mutual understanding and direct all joint efforts towards achieving the project goal, which actualizes the formation of their project culture.
The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate the main aspects of the development of a project culture in an educational environment.
Research results and discussion. Personal project culture is a broad concept that includes the experience and methodology of project activities, as well as the supra-activity qualities of students. It was revealed that it is advisable to develop the project culture of students through the activation of the following structural components:
– project self-awareness as a structural component of project culture, which can be considered as the result of an optimal synthesis of professional personality traits, value orientations and scientific-project (professional) knowledge/skills of students. This component can be traced in the process of the student’s attitude towards the implementation of real project activities and is expressed in such goals that are aimed at understanding, introspection and self-assessment of project activities and its results;
– design and creative thinking, which is an important component of project culture and involves a synthesis of students’ professional and personal qualities, professional and value orientations, scientific and design professional knowledge and optimal design abilities. This thinking is aimed at searching for innovative opportunities for the implementation and application of scientific and design knowledge and professional skills in the implementation of the main stages of project activities;
– Scientific-project professional skills should be considered as professional and personal education, which is formed with the help of scientific-project knowledge and professional-project abilities, based on value orientations in the field of future professional activity. These skills are necessary for the practical implementation of project activities and involve, on the basis of the scientific principle, determining and implementing substantive, organizational, methodological and procedurally effective means of project activities.
Conclusions. The level of development of students’ project culture is a significant indicator of the effectiveness of the functioning of an educational organization, which is manifested in the competitiveness of graduates and their demand in the labor market.
