Resistance as a basic quality of formation of athletes (on the example of the Olympic reserve school)

Objective of the study was the theoretical and experimental substantiation of the need for the formation of hardiness as a basic quality of the personality of athletes in the conditions of the school of the Olympic reserve.
Methods and structure of the study. A correlation study of the characteristics of resilience, basic beliefs and motives for sports among students of the Olympic Reserve School was conducted using the S. Muddy resilience test (adapted by D.A. Leontiev and E.I. Rasskazova). The study sample consisted of more than 100 students: 2 study groups of the 1st year and 2 study groups of the 3rd year of study of the State budget vocational education institution of the Rostov region "Rostov regional school (college) of the Olympic reserve".
Results and conclusions. It is proved that training at the Olympic reserve school, provided scientific and methodological modeling of the educational process, can act as a formative environment of an athlete's personality, the basic quality of which is resilience.
