Assessment of physical education teacher's readiness for professional activity in the conditions of digitalization of education

Objective of the study is a theoretical substantiation, approbation and evaluation of the effectiveness of the future physical education teacher's readiness for the effective implementation of professional activities in the context of digitalization of education.
Methods and structure of the study. The experimental work was carried out on the basis of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Life Safety of the FSBEI HE “Bunin Yelets State University " in 2021-2023. At the formative stage, 52 students of the 3rd and 4th courses, mastering the profession of a teacher of physical culture, were covered by specially organized interaction. As a diagnostic tool for determining the level of formation of the components of the readiness of a future physical education teacher for professional activities in the context of digitalization of education, the following methods were used in the study: K. Zamfir's method (modified by A. Rean) "Professional activity motivation".
Results and conclusions. An empirical study showed that the motivational component of readiness is manifested in a larger number of students (in 42 people, which is 81% of the total number of study participants). In second place is the cognitive component (40 people - 77%). Further, 37 respondents (71%) have manifestations of the activity component. The reflective component has the lowest indicator - 31 students, which corresponds to 60%. The results obtained in the course of the study made it possible to state that digital literacy is a prerequisite for the effectiveness and success of the professional and pedagogical activities of future teachers in the context of the digitalization of education.
