Introduction. The Association of Tennis Professionals first introduced selective doping control at its tournaments in 1990. In 2002, the ITF concluded an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to conduct doping tests, including during the out-of-competition period (all tests are conducted without prior notice) [1]. RUSADA's online anti-doping course is an integral part of the anti-doping education system. This course gives a basic understanding of anti-doping (about the types of violations of the Rules, responsibility for their violation, the rules and procedure of doping control, the rules for submitting requests for TI, etc.) and is recommended for athletes, athlete personnel and other persons.
The purpose of the study is to compare the dependence of doping violations in tennis among Russian athletes with their participation in training seminars of the RAA RUSADA (hereinafter – RUSADA).
Methodology and organization of the study. The analysis of specialized websites of ITIA, ITF, FTR, RUSADA, theoretical sources [1-4], a survey of experts and data from the author's practical work in the Russian Tennis Federation were used.
The results of the study and their discussion. According to the data obtained, it can be concluded that the athletes of the Russian national beach tennis team are more actively participating in anti-doping seminars held by the Anti-Doping Support Department of the Russian Tennis Federation, together with RUSADA in 2022 [3, 4]. Some athletes participated in a series of seminars several times in 2022. The opposite trend is observed in the discipline of "tennis". Less attention is paid to anti-doping competencies in tennis than in beach tennis. In beach tennis, there are no violations with the use of doping in athletes. This may be due to the small number of athletes included in the international testing pool, and a small number of doping samples taken within the framework of major tournaments, as well as the fact that athletes know anti-doping rules and do not violate them. Note that most of the violations in tennis are "unintentional", that is, arising out of ignorance.
Conclusions. The behavior of anti–doping seminars has a positive effect on improving the anti-doping competencies of athletes and, as a result, the absence of anti-doping violations among athletes of the beach tennis discipline who actively attend these training programs.
