Introduction. Bekhterev's disease has been affecting more and more people in recent years, most recently the disease was considered predominantly male, however, in modern realities, the disease affects both men and women equally.
The purpose of the study is to update physical education classes for students diagnosed with Bekhterev's disease.
Methodology and organization of the study. As part of the study, a survey was conducted of students engaged in a special medical group, 2-3 courses of the Don State Technical University, in the number of 200 people. During the survey, it was revealed that out of 200 students interviewed, 50 people are diagnosed with Bekhterev's disease. When asked how many students diagnosed with Bekhterev's disease are engaged in physical culture, 70% of respondents answered negatively. From this it can be concluded that students do not actually develop their physical fitness and do not seek to improve their health.
Further, a set of independent exercises was developed for students diagnosed with Bekhterev's disease, aimed at improving their overall health.
The results of the study and their discussion. A survey of students conducted at the end of the study on the impact of physical education on improving overall health showed that 80% of respondents noted an improvement in their health, 20% replied that there were improvements, but insignificant. It should be noted that the improvement of the condition was noted by those student respondents who systematically engaged in physical culture and followed the recommendations of the teacher to correct technical errors during the exercises.
To questions concerning the organization of systematic physical activity, 40% of respondents answered that it is convenient for them to engage once or twice a week, including classes at the university, 12.9% of students - three or four times a week, and 12.8% of respondents said that they would engage every day, the rest preferred walking outdoors in the air.
Conclusions. Based on the results obtained, students diagnosed with Bekhterev's disease are recommended a program of independent physical activity classes to reduce the incidence rate to a state of remission, in which general well-being improves.
