Objective of the study was to analyze and compare the contents of the effective Federal Sports Training Standards for ski jumping and Nordic combined.
Methods and structure of the study. The article presents a comparative analysis of the contents of the effective Federal Sports Training Standards for ski jumping and Nordic combined. The study involved analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature and documentary sources, followed by the comparison of the requirements of the Federal Standards both with each other and with the existing approaches to the assessment of physical fitness of athletes.
Results and conclusions. The authors conclude that there is a need to update the Federal Sports Training Standards for ski jumping and Nordic combined, as well as a need to introduce motor coordination skills tests for athletes. They offer a battery of tests to rate coordination skills, flexibility, and static endurance of ski jumpers.
