Objective of the study was to analyze the data of monitoring observations of the cardio-respiratory system of the Physical Education Department students during their adaptation to various physical loads.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out in the 2019/2020 academic year at the Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture and Healthy Lifestyle of Mordovian State Pedagogical Institute named after M.E. Evsevyev. The tests were run twice a day (before and after the training session), twice a week (on Monday and on Friday), and twice during the academic year (October - I semester, March - II semester). A total of 25 first-year students and 26 third-year students of the Physical Education Department of Mordovian State Pedagogical Institute were examined.
The functional characteristics of the circulatory system were studied using the hardware-software complex "Health-Express". We also determined the heart rate variability indices in the students during the academic year.
Results and conclusions. The monitoring of the physiometric indicators and physical fitness rates in the students showed significant differences in the level of their development. Of particular interest was the development of adaptive capabilities of the cardiovascular system, which was reflected in the economization of its activities both at rest and after physical loads. This is deemed a measure of the favorable effect of physical training on the heart, indicates the acquisition of an increased functional reserve of the cardiac system and contributes to the prevention of pre-pathological and pathological phenomena in the cardio-respiratory system.
