Introduction. One of the ways to improve the effectiveness of educational work of correctional institutions is to update the potential of physical culture through the development of innovative programs of physical culture and sports activities of convicts with the involvement of the possibilities of network interaction between the correctional institution and the pedagogical university [1].
The aim of the study is to identify the resocializing effect of the implementation of the program of physical culture and sports activities in the practice of educational work with young and mature convicts.
Methodology and organization of the study. The study was conducted in the period from September 2016 to May 2017 on the basis of the FKU KP-1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Ulyanovsk region. The pedagogical experiment involved 40 convicts aged 20-35 years, from among whom the control (KG – 20 people) and experimental (EG – 20 people) groups were formed. The CG was engaged in physical culture in accordance with the approved plan of physical culture and sports work in KP-1. In the EG, an innovative program of physical culture and sports activities of convicts was implemented using the possibilities of network interaction.
The results of the study and their discussion. As the results of the experiment showed, while maintaining the maladaptive traits and behaviors of the convicted CG in the EG, positive-compensatory changes in the personality of the convicted were revealed, which is confirmed by the indicators of a decrease in volitional self-control (VSC) in the CG by 7.7 % and, accordingly, an increase in this indicator in the EG to 54.9 % (p<0.05) at the end of the pedagogical experiment. A similar trend of changes in indicators is observed in other components of the VSC (perseverance, self-control). In the EG, there is a stabilization of the mental state of the convicts, which is indicated by a decrease in" hyperactivity "by 1.7 points;" anxiety " – by 2.2 points;" excitability " – by 3.7 points;" demonstrativeness "– by 3.6 points, p<0.05 (indicators of the"Mini-cartoon" questionnaire). In CG, respectively, "hyperactivity" increased by 1.8 points (p<0.05); no significant changes were found for other studied conditions (p>0.05). The overall level of aggression (BPAQ-24 method) of the convicted EG decreased from 70.9±6.09 points (at the beginning of the experiment) to 45.3±5.67 points at the end of the experiment (p<0.05). In KG, at the initial indicator of 68.5±5.02 points, at the end of the indicator was 75.5±4.35 points (p<0.05), which indicates an increase in asocial motives and motivations of convicts in the conditions of stay in the correctional institution. The resocializing effect is confirmed by higher rates of correction and re-education in the EG (the method of A. S. Sevryugin): The reward intensity coefficient in KG was 1.784; in EG-2.495 (p>0.05). The coefficient of intensity of punishment in KG is 1.908, respectively; in EG-1.249 (p>0.05).
Conclusions. The implementation of the program of physical culture and sports activities of convicts with the participation of students and teachers of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports has a positive effect on the social and behavioral characteristics of convicts, contributes to the reduction of maladaptive traits and behaviors.
