Physical activity of income-earning youth in context of sociological analysis

Objective of the study was to assess the physical fitness and physical activity levels of 22 to 30 year-old men living in the Yugra North conditions and working in various professional spheres.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved 63 men aged from 22 to 30 years, working in the fields of oil development (n=25), physical education and sports (n=20) and information technology (n=18).
Results and conclusions. The physical fitness of the income-earning youth living in the Yugra North conditions was rated using the hardware and software complex "Omega". It was found that higher rates of adaptation to physical loads, fitness, energy supply, psychoemotional state were typical of the representatives of physically demanding jobs, such as oil production, and light labor - physical education teachers. Young people working in the sphere of information technologies had the lowest rates. Independent training is a popular form of physical activity for the income-earning youth. The largest number of young employees participating in the Russian Physical Culture and Sport Complex “Ready for Labour and Defense GTO activities work in the physical education and sports sector. Income-earning youth is positive about participating in corporate activities that imply physical fitness tests, if being encouraged somehow. The study showed the importance of developing corporate programs to improve the physical activity of employees.
