Kinesio taping may be defined as the set of injury prevention methods and tools with application of special elastic adhesive plaster tapes. The study was designed to complement the professional training curriculum for the physical education and sports service specialists. Modern sports and a range of physical education and health technologies tend to grow faster nowadays than the academic training service for the physical education and sports sector specialists – that are expected to freely use and develop rather than passively follow them. This is one of the reasons why the national physical education and sports sector requires the academic training curriculum for the sector specialists being updated to have a range of accumulated non-traditional disciplines and knowledge fields well-addressed by the curricula including, in our opinion, a Theory and Practice of Kinesio Taping. This new discipline will help expand the competences of the physical education and sports sector specialists in the context of the upcoming extensive reforms of the academic physical education and sports curriculum.
