Objective of the study was to analyze the influence of willpower as the dominant goal reflex on the behavior and lifestyle and regulation of innate unconditioned reflexes and other dominants in student athletes.
Methods and structure of the study. Human willpower (self-control) ensures the achievement of the intended goal (desire, dream, need) provided that all functional systems of the body are subordinated to it and other dominants are inhibited. The study of willpower was carried out on female university students and athletes in Tyumen. The control group consisted of 230 female students, from whom data on the number of morning exercises per week was collected. The experimental group consisted of the same students, who were given a suggestion by the teacher and given the task of using willpower to form a dominant and do exercises every morning. The analysis compared the number of morning exercises in the control and experimental groups per week. The students' willpower was assessed by the number of morning physical exercises performed per week before and after the suggestion.
Results and conclusions. The study showed that out of 230 students in the control group (before the suggestion), on average, each (M±m) did exercises only 1.09 ±0.109 times per week. In the experimental group, after suggestion, everyone began to do exercises on average (M±m) 2.91±0.122 times a week, which was significantly (P<0.001) more than 168% of the control. The results of the study showed that the development of a reflex of the goal of doing morning exercises with the help of the will and suggestion of the teacher strengthens the willpower of students even after a single suggestion. After the work carried out, we can conclude that the practical application of the teachings of Academician A.A. Ukhtomsky for mass sports is effective, is a new method, has both a practical and fundamental scientific nature in the physiology of sports.
